THREE charity institutions received a total
of RM36,080 from the fundraising efforts of Sri Kuala Lumpur
Primary School pupils.
Students from Years One to Five put up a musical concert while
the prefects sold sweets, ice-cream and pizza.
At the school’s 28th annual speech day, the school executive
chairman, Tan Sri Othman Merican, presented RM10,100 to Albert
Ong from the Good Samaritan Home and RM5,300 to Lynette Low
from the PAWS Animal Welfare Society.
Proceeds of RM20,680 from the musical Around The World In
Eighty Minutes had earlier been awarded to the Monfort Boys
Home.
Prizes were given to students who had excelled and a concert
comprising dance, choir and musical performances rounded up
the day’s programme.
School general manager Hanif Merican stressed
that the kindness and commitment towards a worthy cause not
only fostered family togetherness but also ensured a nation
of caring citizens with strong moral values.
