The Leo Club of Sri Kuala Lumpur has donated
RM42,000 to the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM)
for its Children’s Home of Hope project. The money was
the result of a successful charity dinner organised by the
club.
In addition to the RM42,000 cheque that was
handed to NCSM president Tony Skelchy, there was a personal
donation of RM10,000 from Celcom Bhd CEO Datuk Shazally Ramli.
Leo Club Sri KL president Samantha Ong said
fund-raising, was in line with Sri KL’s philosophy of
providing a well-rounded education for students.
“We emphasise strong community values
and discipline while encouraging our students to excel academically,”
she added.
With best wishes: Executive

The NCSM, the premier cancer body in Malaysia,
was established in 1966. Its Children’s Home of Hope
is one of five centres in the Klang Valley. NCSM’s objective
is to provide a “home away from home” environment.
This allows the child patient to stay comfortably
with their parents at nearby premises outside the hospital
while receiving treatment.
It is run by a retired paediatric nurse well
versed with the needs of oncology patients.
