Dear parents,
Let me first express my appreciation
for your overwhelming attendance at both the Kongsi Raya Celebrations
and the recent Mini Sports. With your presence and support,
the preschoolers gave their very best at both events. It’s
heartening, too, that more than 30 parents joined the youngsters
on the recent trip to the Aquaria in KLCC.
In attending school events as well as conducting some sessions
with the pupils, parents are contributing generously of your
time. For the youngsters, the involvement of their parents
in the school programme provides an experience that they will
always remember. Thank you.
Most of you have already met
with the teachers during the recent Report Card Day and gained
some useful insight into your children’s academic and
social development. In the short span of only four months,
the pupils have made new friendships and developed further
their motor, social and cognitive skills and with the continuing
love and tender care from both teachers and parents, a firm
foundation can be built for the next stage of learning.
The coming school break will
offer parents the opportunity to spend more quality time with
your children and I’m sure you are making plans to keep
them suitably occupied. Family outings, shopping expeditions,
visits to relatives and other outdoor trips - all these can
be a source of informal learning for this age group and the
fun filled activities are meant to be savoured and remembered.
Upcoming school events for the
second semester include the colouring and storytelling contests
and the National Day Celebrations. I hope to see yet another
good round of attendance from all of you at these and other
events in the calendar.
Till then, keep smiling!
