Dear parents,
Sri KL preschoolers welcomed
in the Year of the Ox together with all major auspicious Malaysian
festivals in a grand celebration in the school auditorium.
Parents must have been really proud to witness the blossoming
of the little performers as they took to the stage in groups.
A proactive storytelling session
by Disney House followed by an outdoor trip to the Gardenia
Bakery proved to be engagingly fun filled while also helping
to broaden their knowledge and nurturing an awareness of their
environment.
It has been said “The
object of education is to prepare the young to educate themselves
throughout their lives.” By fostering holistic education,
preschool is a time of preparation for lifelong learning.
Many opportunities to develop personal and social skills are
incorporated in the daily school routine. The integration
of learning experiences with interdisciplinary activities
will make their education both enjoyable and meaningful as
they discover things from observations, enquiry, exploration,
and first-hand experiences.
Coming up next in the school
calendar for this term are a variety of programmes that will
cater to all aspects of their development. The monthly Newsletter
will keep you informed of the schedule for each activity.
Parents who wish to contribute their time with an activity
of their choice can contact us for inclusion in the Social
Development programme.
Pupils are busy right now in
preparation for the upcoming Sports Day and I hope for a great
turnout from parents, as the little sportsmen and sportswomen
will surely need your cheers to motivate them. And we are
not forgetting their academic proficiency which will be assessed
during the Mid Term Exams. Remedial measures can then be implemented
during the term holidays.
As you can see, a busy time
lies ahead for all of us and I look forward to working with
you in the development of our precious charges.
Cheers!
