On 18 June, Sri KL was proud to host the Sri KL–Trinity College Public Speaking Competition, welcoming talented young speakers from 13 schools for a morning of thought-provoking ideas, powerful speeches and meaningful conversations.
We were honoured to welcome an esteemed panel of judges: Ms Meneka Premkumar (Trinity College), Ms Iris Tan (ESU Malaysia), and Mr Teh Cheong Hua (JM Education).
A special highlight of the event was Ms Meneka’s inspiring message on the importance of authenticity and empathy in a world shaped by AI, while our Principal, Mr Tan Sun Seng, reminded students that success is not only about winning, but about courage, growth, and participation.
- Champion: Kirthigan Manimaran (SMK Damansara Jaya)
- 1st Runner-Up: Naomi Thomas (SMK Subang Utama)
- 2nd Runner-Up: Ma Wen Jun (Pin Hwa High School)
A special shoutout to Lee Jia Yi for representing Sri KL with her thought-provoking speech, “Are We Living Life – or Performing It for an Audience?”
Thank you to all participants, judges, teachers and organisers for making this celebration of confident communication and critical thinking such a memorable success.
