Bahasa Melayu Storytelling Competition 2026 (Year 7)
The Sri KL Malay Language Department successfully organised this year’s Year 7 Storytelling Competition to strengthen students’ speaking skills while nurturing a deeper appreciation for the beauty of the Malay language.
Folklore stories came to life as 18 Year 7 students took the stage for this year’s Cerita Rakyat-themed competition.
Through tales of honesty, friendship & courage, participants impressed with confident delivery, creativity & expressive performances.
Top 5 Results:
- 1st – Tok Shaney (7 Omega)
- 2nd – Anston Lim Yu Han (7 Kappa)
- 3rd – Yarissa Ann Viathalingam (7 Kappa)
- 4th – Grace Looi Kai Xin (7 Theta)
- 5th – Joycelynna Tang Suet Yi (7 Gamma)
